Terms of Use
Last updated: October 5, 2026
By using Scroll Hush, you agree to these Terms to the extent an agreement can be formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the app and uninstall it. These Terms do not remove rights that the law gives you and does not allow a contract to exclude.
1. What Scroll Hush provides
Scroll Hush is a personal self-management application. It provides tools for intentional app openings, planned session time, usage limits, Quiet Hours, usage reports, Quiet Time, reading, meditation, stretching, and progression.
You choose the monitored apps and settings. Scroll Hush does not guarantee that you will reduce your usage, improve your attention, or obtain any particular result.
2. Who may use the app
You may use Scroll Hush where you can lawfully agree to these Terms. If you are not legally able to agree on your own, any authorization required from a parent or legal guardian must be obtained.
Use the app only on a device you own or are authorized to configure. Do not use its access to monitor another person's device without the authorization required by law.
3. Permission to use Scroll Hush
Subject to these Terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the app for its intended purpose. Installing the app does not transfer ownership of the application or its original materials to you.
You may not unlawfully copy, distribute, sell, or use Scroll Hush to infringe another person's rights. Nothing in these Terms restricts software inspection, interoperability, or other activity where the law expressly permits it.
4. Android access and device settings
Some features require Usage Access, Accessibility, display-over-other-apps access, notifications, or related Android settings. You decide whether to grant access and can revoke it through Android Settings.
Usage Access supports usage measurement. Accessibility supports detection of monitored-app openings. The current Accessibility service is configured not to retrieve screen contents or perform gestures.
Removing access, restricting background activity, or changing battery settings can make related features unavailable or less reliable. You are responsible for reviewing whether your chosen configuration works on your device.
5. Limits and monitoring
Scroll Hush's limits are personal self-management tools. They are not guaranteed parental controls, enterprise access controls, or security restrictions.
Monitoring and enforcement depend on Android, device manufacturers, permissions, system settings, and application behavior. Updates, background restrictions, crashes, or missing events can affect detection and reports.
Do not rely on Scroll Hush where an undetected opening or unenforced limit could create a serious safety or security risk. The app does not replace the controls required for such situations.
6. Reports and opening reasons
Reports are based on Android usage information and local records. They may contain missing, delayed, or approximate measurements.
Opening reasons reflect the answers you selected. Scroll Hush cannot verify what you did inside a social app or infer a diagnosis from session duration. Treat reports as information for your own decisions rather than certified measurements.
7. Self-assessment and health-related content
Scroll Hush is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a medical or psychological condition. Its self-assessment provides general information for self-reflection.
A score, category, or usage pattern should not be treated as a clinical diagnosis. The app is not a substitute for professional evaluation or treatment.
8. Meditation and stretching
Meditation and stretching are optional general wellness activities. They are not personalized medical, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or exercise advice.
Choose activities appropriate for your circumstances and surroundings. Stop an activity if it causes pain, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms. Seek suitable professional advice if an injury, medical condition, or other limitation makes an activity uncertain.
Do not use an activity that requires attention to the screen while driving or performing another task that requires your full attention.
9. Local information and exports
The Privacy Policy explains what Scroll Hush accesses and stores. The current app's main usage records remain on the device unless you choose to share them.
The current export covers supported preferences and metrics rather than all local state. It is not a complete backup, and a full restore function is not currently provided.
The current in-app deletion control does not erase every separate local store. Android's Clear storage or Clear data control, or uninstallation, can remove the private app records. Neither action deletes copies you exported or messages you already sent to support.
Protect information you export and review the receiving service's terms before sharing it.
10. Third-party apps and services
Scroll Hush can detect and launch supported applications and open external websites or your email app. These services operate independently and have their own terms and privacy practices.
Scroll Hush does not control their content, accounts, subscriptions, availability, moderation, or security. You remain responsible for your use of those services.
Naming or supporting an application does not mean that its provider sponsors or endorses Scroll Hush.
11. Points and Orbits
Points, earning rates, and Orbits are features within Scroll Hush. They do not represent money, transferable assets, or financial rewards.
Progression rules can change as the application develops. Local progress can be lost when storage is cleared, the application is removed, or a development update changes data compatibility. Progress is not maintained in a Scroll Hush cloud account in the current version.
12. Prerelease versions
Alpha, beta, and other prerelease versions can include incomplete features, errors, interface changes, inaccurate calculations, and crashes. Features and data formats can change during development.
A later release may not preserve every record created by a prerelease version. Do not use a prerelease installation as your only record of important information.
13. Plans and purchases
The current prerelease version does not implement paid plans or subscription billing. If paid features are introduced, the applicable price, billing period, renewal conditions, and cancellation information must be presented before purchase.
A future payment arrangement will be subject to the terms presented for that arrangement and any applicable platform rules. These Terms do not authorize a charge by themselves.
14. Acceptable use
Use Scroll Hush in accordance with applicable law. Do not use it to obtain unauthorized access to a device, account, communication, or private information.
Do not misrepresent the app's reports as a diagnosis or guaranteed evidence of another person's behavior. Do not use the application's permissions for a purpose you are not authorized to carry out.
15. Changes and availability
Features, supported apps, and device compatibility can change. We may update, replace, suspend, or discontinue features, subject to applicable obligations and any separate purchase terms.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every Android device. Your statutory rights remain in effect where they apply.
16. Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Scroll Hush is provided as available, without a promise that it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or accurate in every measurement.
This provision does not exclude mandatory warranties, consumer protections, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of, or inability to use, the application.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. It does not remove remedies or obligations that mandatory law provides.
18. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms operate alongside applicable law, including mandatory consumer and privacy protections. They do not require you to waive a right to a court, regulator, complaint process, or remedy that the law protects.
For questions or an attempt to resolve an issue directly, contact support@scrollhush.app. Contacting support does not replace any legal complaint or claim you are entitled to make.
19. Changes to these Terms
Updated Terms will show their update date. Material changes will be communicated where required, and additional agreement will be requested where the law requires it.
